Chernobyl: Forgotten Tragedy

On the 26th April 1886 there was a meltdown at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station. Most of us have heard of this tragedy but I think that many of us have forgotten about it and what it means today.

It is going to take 48000 years for the radiation levels in Chernobyl and the surrounding area to reach a normal level again. It will be able to start being populated again in 400-600 years time.

Currently these are ghost towns.
